Digits2Widgets is a 3D Printing studio based in Central London
We have a wide range of Industrial 3D Printers combined with the experience and expertise which allows us to assist clients from a wide variety of professional fields and creative interests to achieve the highest quality in 3D Printing.
Digits2Widgets was established in 2008 by Andrew Dawood as a creative off-shoot of the leading dental practice Dawood & Tanner, who were pioneering the use of 3D printing in their dental treatment from early 2005 to recreate the complex architecture of the face, jaw and skeleton for the planning innovative and new facial and dental treatments. Andrew Dawood foresaw the tremendous potential for 3D technologies, and founded D2W and a sister company, Cavendish Imaging, which provides state of the art imaging and planning models for all sectors of the medical profession. At the 2013 3D Printshow, Andrew Dawood was awarded the "Inspirational Person of the Year" award for his contribution to 3D Printing.
Our team includes an Architect, a Product Designer, a Games Developer and an Artist, and we believe this cross-disciplinary team is key to our ability to understand the expectations and ideas behind our client's projects. We like to communicate directly with our clients so we can ensure that they always achieve the best possible results.
We also strongly believe in helping to shape the future of this technology by participating in the debate for its uses, and describing the real creative magic as opposed to the over-hyped media stories of recent times. Our Design director Jonathan Rowley has given several interviews and talks here at our studio about "What You Can Make With a 3D Printer" in conjunction with The London Design Festival, as well as the "Future Is Here" show at the Design Museum.
More importantly, he was asked to provide an expert opinion for the probability of the 3D printed gun becoming a real weapon, and was able to shed light on the dangers of a bad idea being hyped.
Here at D2W, we believe our service begins and ends with people, and we are here to help you realise your ideas, either in person, or remotely.
We welcome all enquiries, and are capable of working with all professionals, students and enthusiasts.
We recently moved to a larger studio in Camden in order to meet the growing needs of our clients for 3D Printing.
